I am teaching here in Australia and just got asked a question. Do I ever use vibrating toys, oral-motor tools, or oral programs to wake up the baby’s mouth? I thought I would share my answer. No. I don’t. Why? Because I focus on how healthy newborns learn to eat, and providing biologically expected experiences. We…
What a joyful time we have had prior to starting teaching here in Adelaide! Thank you to Let’s Grow Together, Lauren and her team! And to Kay Toomey and Toomey and Associates, for including me as one of the professors for the SOS Approach to Feeding conferences here in Adelaide and in Newcastle (next week). …

I’ve been in Indonesia, where I’ve watched…
I hope you are enjoying your summer – and are keeping cool! Here in Colorado we started off wet and rainy, but the last few days have been HOT! I have been having a HOT summer since Spring, when I went to Guangzhou China, then Hong Kong, and then Edinburgh Scotland. I am so honored…
I have been attending a variety of conferences over the last month or so, and loving what I am seeing! In March I attended the Graven’s Conference – a perennial favorite of mine! It focuses on infants and this year really focused on “zero separation” and Diversity and Equity issues. In the end of March,…
What a great time I just had this weekend in Phoenix! From arriving at the rental car place and finding out the boring 4 door sedan I had rented was unavailable and getting a Mustang Convertible in its place, to seeing my aging parents and aunt, to 2 days of fun at Phoenix Children’s Hospital…
