The CE Administrator and the speaker (if different) establish the satisfactory completion requirements for all planned courses. The completion requirements are based on the planned learning outcomes. In general, satisfactory completion of courses is based on attendance and on passing a quiz. The requirements for satisfactory completion of the course are listed on the promotional materials as well as at the time of registration. For live offerings, a sign in and sign out sheet is used to verify attendance. This sheet is monitored by a staff member/volunteer. For any recorded or live-virtual offerings, Feeding Fundamentals, LLC uses a timed tracking system. A minimum threshold of 95% is set for attendance, to allow for problems with internet connection. Attendance during live-virtual offerings is also taken via chat at the start of each offering or day (if multi-day course).
Attendance requirements and timed thresholds must be met prior to the quiz and evaluation are released. The quiz is required for successful completion of the live-virtual, Hybrid, and pre-recorded video offerings. For the live version of offerings and for the live version of the Hybrid model, a quiz is not always required as there is more group work and more interaction with the speaker. However, with these offerings the evaluation is then required as the learning objectives are verified as having been met by the participant.
Live conferences: Conferences that are offered in-person track attendance with a sign-in at the start of day and a sign-out at the end of day using an attendance form. Participants are expected to participate in the entire offering, and as long as they have been signed in for at least 95% of the time of the conference, they are considered as “full attendance”. Learners are required to complete the evaluation that includes questions related to the learner outcomes.
Live/Virtual conferences: Participants are expected to participate in the entire offering, and as long as they have been signed in for at least 95% of the time of the conference, they are allowed to take the quiz and evaluation which unlocks their certificate. Participants are allowed to review the content from a recording of the offering, for a period of 7 days. This gives participants who have unexpected internet access problems the opportunity to view all of the content. Once the timed minimum has been met, the participant is given access to quizzes that accompany all live/virtual conferences. Quizzes are required to be passed at 100%. Upon successful completion of the quiz, the learner has access to the evaluation that includes questions related to the learner outcomes. After the learner completes the live/virtual portion, the quiz and the evaluation, they are able to download their certificate of completion.
Video webinar conferences: Conferences that are offered online as video webinars are hosted on the Feeding Fundamentals website, www.feedingfundamentals.com. Participants are expected to view the entire offering. The participant is required to confirm they viewed the entire webinar prior to accessing the quiz, and that they are the same person who is registered to take the course. Participants are allowed to view the content for a period of 1-6 months; the period of viewing depends on the offering. This gives participants who have unexpected internet access problems or busy schedules the opportunity to view all of the content. Once the video has been viewed in its entirety, the participant is given access to quizzes. Each video webinar has a quiz attached, which is required to be passed at 100%. Upon successful completion of the quiz, the learner has access to the evaluation that includes questions related to the learner outcomes. After the learner completes the video portion, the quiz and the evaluation, they are able to download their certificate of completion.
Hybrid live/webinar conferences: Conferences that are offered as a hybrid will include an online portion that will includes video webinars hosted on the Feeding Fundamentals website, www.feedingfundamentals.com. The participant will be required to complete all of the online portions (video and quiz) prior to attending the live portion. We will use the same process for ensuring attendance for the online portion (tracked time) and for the live portion (attendance sheet) as described above.
Courses are not offered for partial credit.
