Supporting Parents and Infants During Early Feedings in the NICU
Parents, and their relationship with their baby, are both influenced by their baby’s ability to eat and their own ability to feed their infant. When feedings are uncomfortable, or a baby is developing aversions, family functioning is often affected. This webinar reviews the evidence regarding role stress, and pediatric feeding disorders, on family functioning. It also provides the professional caregiver insights into how to help families navigate this time period, with practical suggestions for supporting early feedings in the NICU setting (as well as in the early intervention time period).
